Known for their distinctive dark purple colour and rich Mediterranean character, Kalamata olives are widely considered one of the finest olive varieties available. Best for cooking or snacking. 

Kalamata olives are left to ripen on the tree for longer and harvested when fully ripe that’s also why they are darker in colour. 

Kalamata is the name of the region in Greece where these particular olive types are grown. 

“Kalamon” is the name given to the same type of olive but grown elsewhere, not in the Kalamata region.

A: Our Kalamata olives are whole and the stone remains. The Kalamata olives in our Classic Blend olives are pitted.
